Great Happenings at St. Spyridon Church

St. Spyridon's is located in Clarksburg, West Virginia and serves the religious
needs of the Orthodox population of North-Central West Virginia. The Very Reverend Father Leonidas H. Drakopoulos ministers

Our Mission
The diakonia (work, ministry, mission) of the parish includes proclaiming the Gospel in accordance with the Orthodox
Faith, sanctifying the faithful through God's grace in worship, the Divine Liturgy and the other Sacraments and Devotional
Services, enhancing their spiritual life, adding to their numbers by instructing others and receiving them into the Church
through Baptism and/or Chrismation, catechizing them in the Orthodox Faith and in the ethos of the Church through the establishment
of programs, schools and philanthropic activities, and implementing Christian ministries."
St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church also sponsors a Greek Festival each June. This is the only Greek Festival located
in central WV. Food, arts and Greek music are always featured.
